There’s only one F in Fulham

All things considered a bad day at the office
The last win at home was still in 2012 with a 2-1

TOOFIF's pre match ramblings
Arsenal, what a team they were when Fulham were first promoted to the Premier League! The 'Unbeatables' were playing the best football in Britain at the time under the French Professor Arsen Wenger and Fulham had set Division One ablaze under fellow Frenchman Jean Tigana playing similar skilful stuff. That first League meeting in years was eagerly anticipated and, so we thought, destined to be a close run match.
That turned out to be wishful thinking on our part, Arsenal bullied us, got away with crafty little cheating manoeuvres and generally showed up the naivity of us cocky newcomers.
You could say that on that November 5th fixture, we were playing the part of Guy Fawkes. Steed Malbranque scored for us in that 1-3 defeat, in the away re-match, Marlet scored our only goal in a 4-1 defeat, these two defeats adding to the other 36 and we've only won 8.

At least we approach this one with a win under our belts and Arsenal following their humbling 5 - 1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
Naturally though, we are Fulham and are one of the worst three teams in the Premier League after the first 20 games so it's probably advisable not to get our hopes up too high. After all, Arseanl are another of those teams that we hardly ever get a result against, espeecially at their home ground(s).
So everything's crossed or clenched for this one and let's hope for our New Year Resolution to start right away!
I make no bones anbout this, I didn't attend the game and couldn't get to watch it live so I base this on the snippets I got from radio aduring the match nd the Fulham site later.
As it transpired this was another familair story, we looked ok, certainly not kow-towed in the opening exchanges and could have gone ahead.
Then, of course we go behind and have to hang on for the remainder of the first half.
When it appeared that we might get lucky we concede again before pulling one back and then rolling over.
we've seen that all before now, haven't we?
